Device for the irradiation of humans

The invention relates to a device for the irradiation of humans with UV radiation for medical and/or cosmetic purposes, having at least two fluorescent lamps as radiation sources, these lamps being arranged parallel to one another in a housing, as well as reflectors for emitting the total radiation essentially in one direction. The housing and the reflectors consist of components which can be joined together in a modular design system for forming irradiation devices of different capacity and radiation distribution. Each reflector component in this case consists of a shaped part with angled ends, into which are clamped metal strips optimally reflecting the radiation. Over each fluorescent lamp there is an adjustable ventilation slot along its entire length. The components in each case forming the outer longitudinal sides are designed as supports for the elements necessary for operating the fluorescent lamps.
