摘要 The method for measuring the volume of blood flowing in optically accessible blood vessels, preferably in human retinal vessels, has the object of considerably reducing the measurement inaccuracy, which is mainly due to eye movements, when determining the volume of blood flow over the minimum running time difference of the indicator, of making the determination of the minimum running time difference of the indicator independent of the signal maximum and of considerably improving the preconditions for automation of the entire measurement and evaluation process, as well as of making possible simultaneous measurement of vessel diameter and running time difference of the indicator. The essence of the invention is the utilisation of the alternating radiation signals produced by at least two measurement surfaces vibrating at right angles to the vessel course as measurement and control signals, and by utilising the phase shift obtained on corresponding spectral tuning of indicator, illumination and measurement path of the measurement signals as the time of appearance of the indicator under the measurement surfaces. The method can be applied wherever velocity and throughflow in optically accessible vessels are to be measured with an indicator.
