The invention relates to a device for locking and unlocking mould plates of an injection mould, which can be moved together and apart in two parting planes. The device has a control strip attached to a first mould plate, a coupling strip which is opposite the control strip and is attached to a third mould plate, and coupling parts which are guided in a second mould plate arranged between the first and third mould plates, so as to be tensile-resistant and compression-resistant in the plate-movement direction and so as to be movable transversely to the plate-movement direction. The problem in the case of devices of the aforementioned kind consists in the fact that flexural moments occur on the control strips or coupling strips, which flexural moments are transferred to the guide of the mould plates. The flexural moments are eliminated in that, at its opposing longitudinal sides (51), the coupling strip (5) is designed so as to be mirror-symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal central axis of the device, in that one of two symmetrical control strips (4) is provided at a distance from each longitudinal side of the coupling strip and in that a coupling part (6) is provided between each control strip and the coupling strip. Exemplary applications are so-called sprue-puller moulds, in which the sprue is detached from the moulding during the demoulding and the moulding emerges from the injection mould from the main parting plane, and the sprue emerges from the injection mould from a further parting plane. Similar movement sequences can be controlled in the case of stripper plates and ejector plates of injection moulds. <IMAGE>
