The invention proposes a travelling manipulator which is capable of travelling in rails fixed in the roof of underground excavations. The travelling manipulator carries a telescoping jib, at the front end of which stop means can be connected, by means of which the various underground wagons, floors, floor tracks and the like can be worked, loaded and unloaded.
