[Also in Division H2] Batteries 40 are stored between upper and lower discs 14, 12 of a dispenser 10 which are rotatably connected by a stud 20, the lower disc having a dispensing and loading aperture 22 with a snap-on hinged cap 24. Holes 42 in the upper disc 14 ventilate the dispenser and allow testing probes (64), Fig. 4 (not shown), to contact the upper terminals of the batteries, while the lower terminals are contacted by a conductively coated card (50), Fig. 3 (not shown), projecting from a gap (60), Fig. 1 (not shown), in a perimeter wall 18. The card may be inserted before or after joining the parts 12, 14. Projections 44 prevent the batteries from closing the ventilation holes 42, while pins 38 prevent contact between the batteries. In a further embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown), the batteries are stored in individual cavities (66) in the upper disc. The upper disc 12 is moulded in transparent rigid plastics and the lower disc 12 is integrally moulded with the stud 20 and cap 24, in opaque flexible plastics. |
