PURPOSE:To make it possible to maintain a restraint state by a seat belt even if a door is open under deformation when a side clash of a vehicle occurs by installing both a door opening switch and a door opening/closing detection switch in a drive circuit of the captioned seat belt which automatically restricts the movement of people in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A door opening switch 35 and a hold circuit 37 as well as a door switch 29 are installed in a control circuit for a reversible motor 21 which drives a passive seat belt. The hold circuit 37 is designed to hold a door under an opening state for a specified time when people gets into a vehicle. The construction makes it possible to maintain a restraints state by a seat belt unless the switch 35 is separately operated, even when a side clash of a vehicle changes the shape of a door while the door switch 29 is turned on and hence outputs a detection signal under the state where the door is open. |
