PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of an induction motor by forming legs at a main core and a yoke core and forming the legs from the notches for winding coils, thereby improving the yield of a material without decreasing the performances of the cores. CONSTITUTION:When a core is produced in combination with a main core 6 and a yoke core 5, lengs 7, 8 are respectively formed at both main core 6 and a yoke core 5. In ths case, the sum (C+C) of the widths C of the legs becomes smaller than the width B of a coil occupying space 4. In this manner, when the cores 5 are punched from the core material, the lengs 7, 8 are formed from the notches to become the coil occupying space 4. Accordingly, the width L' of the material can be reduced smaller than the finished size L of the core, thereby improving the production yield. |
