MANUFACTURE OF PARTICLE BOARD WITH ISOCYANATE COMPOUND USED AS BINDING AGENT

PURPOSE:To facilitate the removing from hotplate molds so as to obtain the titled board good in the surface smoothness, by adding a long chain fatty carboxylic acid incase that inorganic and organic particles are molded by hot pressing using as a binding agent an isocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION:In case that organic and/or inorganic particles such as wood chips or the like using as a binding agent an isocyanate compound such as a polymethylene polyphenyl polyisocyanate or the like are molded through a cowl board, hotplates and a mold by hot pressing, 8-28C fatty carboxylic acid such as lauric acid is added in an amount of 1-50pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. isocyante compound to obtain the intended board that can be readily removed from the hotplates or molds.
