In order to avoid transport difficulties with watercraft, sailing boats, motor boats and the like, where nonetheless a craft which is seaworthy in every respect is to be created, it is proposed to create a catamaran-like watercraft from two surfboards by two surfboards (1, 2) being connected to one another in parallel and at a distance from one another in a dimensionally stable manner by means of cross members (3, 5) and longitudinal members (4, 6), a mounting board (7) for an outboard motor (8) being provided on a rear cross member (5), the cross members (3, 5) and the longitudinal members (4, 6) being alternatively fastened in the surfboards (1, 2), and a covering (9) being provided between the cross members (3, 5) and the longitudinal members (4, 6). To transport the watercraft, the two surfboards (1, 2) can be separately fastened and the cross members (3, 5) and the longitudinal members (4, 6) can be stowed in a motor vehicle or a caravan. Serving to fasten the cross members (3, 5) and the longitudinal members (4, 6) are fastening bolts (14-17) which are arranged in openings (10-13) in the surfboards with bearing plates (18-21) in between and can be tightened by means of a threaded section (22-25) and a fastening nut (26-29). In a further development, a fastening device (64) for a sail pole (65) can be provided. To facilitate the transport of the cross and longitudinal members (3, 5 and 4, 6), these members can be of two-piece design and can be connected to one another via an articulated part. <IMAGE>
