PURPOSE:To monitor stress conditions invariably by calculating a stress generated at a diaphragm coupling on the basis of the extent of axial displacement and the rotational speed and load of a power plant. CONSTITUTION:A means 17 of detecting the extent of axial displacement is provided near the fitting part of a diaphragm coupling for a generator rotor shaft 9. On the basis of the extent of displacement detected by said detecting means 17 and the rotational speed and load of a power plant, an expansion and contraction display device 18, a rotational speed display device 19, and load display device 20 calculates the stress for the displacement, centrifugal stress, and stress by transfer torque. From those stresses, whether stress conditions of the diaphragm coupling are in a safe state or not is judged. |
