PURPOSE:To perfomr fine parallel movement by driving both ends of a lever, turnable around a shaft fixed to a translation stage, through micrometers which have steel balls atop respectively. CONSTITUTION:A stage 1 slidable along guides 10 and 11 fixed to a base 13 through steel balls 12 is supproted. A shaft 9 with a bearing which is fitted to the stage at right angles supports a lever 2 turnably. Micrometers 3 and 6 are fitted to plates 15 and 16 fixed to the base and steel balls 5 and 8 are provided atop of splindles of both the micrometers. When the micrometer 3 is turned, the lever turns around the ball 8 and the stage is elevated along the guides. When the micrometer 6 is turned, the lever turns around the base 5 and the lever is held horizontal to complete the parallel movement of the stage. |
