The tubular component (1) is reinforced with a core of material in the form of a honeycomb to produce a composite material. The honeycomb core is assembled into the tubular outer casing by a continuous process. The core (2c) is coated with adhesive and assembled within the tube (5) and pressed between the rollers (4). Alternatively, the adhesive can be used dry and the assembly heated afterwards.
