PURPOSE:To provide a temperature detecting device which is of a simple and compact constitution and has a high response and a long life, by a method wherein, in case temperature exceeds Curie point, the inductance of an oscillating circuit is caused to change rapidly corresponding to a change in magnetic characteristic changing suddenly. CONSTITUTION:If the temperature of a magnetic piece 2 comprising an amorphous magnetic metal material rises and exceeds the Curie point resulting from efficient supply of heat from a part 1 where the temperature is detected, the magnetic characteristic of the magnetic piece 2 changes suddently. As a result, an inductance of a coil in an oscillating circuit 3 changes suddenly to change an oscillating frequency, and a given temperature is detected without the use of a temperature-sensitive element and the like. Thus, a temperature detector is constituted such that it is of a simple and compact constitution and has a high response and a long life. |
