PURPOSE:To provide a method for synthesizing an arylamine type polymer compound having high polymn. degree, and to facilitate handling of the monomer and control of polymn. degree. CONSTITUTION:Ar-chloromethyl styrene is solution polymerized in dioxane, and reacted with N-(beta-hydroxyethyl)aniline to give ar-{N-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-N-phenylaminomethyl}styrene polymer. An arylamine polymer having the shown formula is synthesized by reacting an organic dicarboxylic anhydride with this styrene polymer. At the time, the monomer is stable and easy to handle, and since the polymn. degree depends upon the first polymn., its control easy and high polymn. degree is obtained. This polymer reacts with a photoactivating agent having a polyhalogenated methyl group producing a free radical by the action of light to form a free radical type photosensitive resin composition, and gives a water- developable color resin image by light irrdiation. |
