PURPOSE:To print a desired pattern on a member to be transferred having a recessed and protruded surface in good efficiency according to transfer printing, by utilizing heat shrinking property of a heat shrinkable plastic film. CONSTITUTION:A transfer pattern is provided on the surface of a flexible support (e.g.; a thin leaf paper, a polyethylene sheet) by gravure printing to form a transfer sheet and the resulting sheet is temporally held in the vicinity of a member to be transferred having a recessed and protruded surface and a heat shrinkable plastic film (e.g.; a polyethylene film to which stretch processing is applied after film formation) is further covered thereon and adhered thereto to form a heat shrinkable tube. In the next process, the above described whole assembly is introduced into a hot air furnace to shrink the tubular heat shrinkable plastic film by heating the same to an appropriate temp. between about 60-200 deg.C and, after the transfer sheet is closely contacted with the member to be transferred to transfer the pattern, the heat shrinkable film and the support of the transfer sheet are peeled and removed. |
