PURPOSE:To promote the vaporization of liquid fuel and mixing of the vaporized fuel and air to improve the combustion characteristics of the fuel by a method wherein air is blown from an air jetting thin tube against finely divided particles jetted from an fuel atomizing means, and in this instance, an opening at the tip end of the thin tube is designed to have a small aperture. CONSTITUTION:A fuel tank is connected with a fuel pump 2 and a nozzle 3 which works as the fuel atomizing means through a fuel feed pipe 1. An air jetting thin tube 12 is arranged at a position opposing the nozzle 3 opened position inside an inner combustion cylinder 8. The tip end opening 11' of the thin tube 12 is squeezed to reduce its aperture and occupies a position very close to the jetting opening of the nozzle 3. Such a construction is very effective for promoting the vaporization of the fuel and mixing of the fuel and air at the time of rising after ignition and stable combustion, and therefore, the combustion characteristic is much improved. |
