PURPOSE:To increase dissolved oxygen content and lower water temperature, by a method wherein, while blowing air into an upper part of a live fish hold by a ventilator, sea water is supplied to a sea water dispersing and retaining body comprising absorbent cotton or the like packed between parallel perforated plates to bring sea water and air into sufficient contact with each other in the retaining body. CONSTITUTION:While blowing fresh air into the upper part of the fish hold by the fan (f), sea water is supplied through nozzles (g). The sea water thus supplied is retained for a predetermined period of time by the sea water dispersing and retaining body D constructed by staggeringly arranging a plurality of belt form plates (p), each of which consists of absorbent cotton or the like (n) bounded by a core member (k), between upper and lower plates j1, j2. Accordingly, the sea water is brought into sufficient contact with air blown from the fan (f), so that the dissolved oxygen content is increased and the temperature of sea water is lowered by the heat of vaporization. |
