PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight waveguide having the spring holding power, by incorporating a dielectric material into the main body of the waveguide and constituting the cover of the waveguide with a springly thin plate to ensure the constant pressure to the dielectric material. CONSTITUTION:A waveguide main body 2 having a channel-shaped section is formed with aluminum to obtain a light weight. A dielectric 3 is incorporated into the body 2. A cover is made of a thin springy phosphor bronze plate having about 0.1-0.5mm. thickness in order to maintain the holding power to the content of the waveguide with high conductivity within a -50 deg.C-100 deg.C range of temperature without any deformation of the cover. The cover 1 is fixed to the body 2 with a pan-head screw 4. The dielectric material 3 is always pressed with the springy thin plate. Thus the weight is reduced and the spring holding power is ensured for a waveguide. |
