PURPOSE:To prevent a power loss caused by the friction between the outer peripheral surface and a fixed shoe block, by coating a solid lubricant on the outer peripheral surface except the surface of a groove formed in the outer peripheral surface of a driving wheel of a frictionally driving type extruding device, and extruding a metal continuously. CONSTITUTION:An extruding die 8 is provided in the vicinity of the rear end of a tubular path 6 formed between the grooved surface of a driving wheel 2 having the groove 3 in its outer peripheral surface 11 and the inner wall surface 5 of a fixed shoe block 4 engaged with a part of the outer periphery of the wheel 2, and then a frictionally driving extruder is constructed by closing the rear end of said tubular path 6 with a projection 7 engaged with the outer peripheral groove 3. In above-mentioned device, a lubricant such as graphite or molybdenum disulfide, etc. is interposed in a gap (c) between the outer peripheral surface 11 and the block 4, and the driving wheel 2 is rotated to send a supplied metallic material 1 to the rear end of the path 6 by the contact frictional resistance between the material 1 and the surface of the groove 3 thereby continuously extruding the material as a wire rod body 9 from the extruding die 8 by applying pressure. |
