The openable window for sloping attic roofs comprises two profiles each having a hollow core of rectangular cross-section which forms the window and surrounding frame respectively. The top of the surrounding frame contains a drainage channel and a groove (9) into which one set of hinges locate. The upper part of the window extends vertically upwards into a flat perimeter, which extends over the lower frame profile. The lower surface of the free edge of the perimeter contains a groove into which the other set of hinge elements locate.
