MULTICHANNEL MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To reduce the crosstalk between channels and at the same time to simplify the production of a multichannel magnetic head, by filling a conductive filler between a shielding plate provided between the main bodies of magnetic heads and a case housing the magnetic head main bodies. CONSTITUTION:The main bodies 3 of a magnetic head are parallelly provided in a case 1. The case 1 contains a magnetic head exposing opening 1a and is closed with a core 2 of a dummy part. A shielding plate 5 is set between the main bodies 3. A winding 6 is provided to the main body 3 to extract an output to a terminal 7. A conductive filler 9 is filled into a gap part between the face of the plate 5 is its width direction and the inner surface of the case 1. No filler 9 is provided to the surface of the plate 5 which is exposed to the aperture 1a. Thus an offset magnetic field to a leaked magnetic field is generated to reduce greatly the crosstalk between channels. Furthermore the production can be simplified without increasing the working accuracy.
