PURPOSE:To determine the sum of energy charge and demand charge simply by modification of a part of an existing instrument by providing a current squaring coil and a short circuiting piece to the circuit for a part of the voltage magnetic flux flowing in parallel with a main voltage magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied to a voltage coil 2, a voltage magmetic flux phi0 passes through the voids of a voltage iron core 1, and flows cyclically in the iron core 1 around the coil 2. A voltage magnetic flux phi1 cuts a rotary disc 9 from the central side of the core 1, passes through a current iron core 3 and an iron core assembling yoke 5 in series and flows to the parts on both sides of the core 1. A voltage magnetic flux phi2 cuts the disc 9 and flows to an iron core counter electrode yoke 6 provided with a current squaring coil 7 and a short circuiting copper plate 8. Since the magnetic flux generated from the coil 7 cuts the disc 9 in the same place as that of the flux phi2, said magnetic flux acts upon the current magnetic flux and generates the couple of force proportional to the square of the current in the disc 9. The disc 9 rotates at the speed proportional to the sum of said couple of force and the couple of force proportional to electric power. |
