PURPOSE:To remove the reaction heat efficiently and to obtain the titled polymer, by taking out the prepared slurry from a polymerizer with preventing the attachment of scale, introducing the slurry into a heat exchanger, circulating it to the polymerizer. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of an oxyacid of phosphorus (e.g., phosphoric acid, etc.) is fed to the polymerizer 1 and circulated by the slurry pump 2 so that the inner wall of the spiral type heat exchanger 3 and the polymerizer are coated with the oxyacid of phosphorus. A vinyl chloride monomer, pure water, a polymerization initiator, a suspending agent, and 2-2,000ppm (based on vinyl chloride) <=20C carboxylic acid (e.g., oxalic acid, etc.) are fed to the polymerizer, cooling water is sent to the spiral type heat exchanger and a double pipe type heat exchanger. When the polymerization is started and heat generation starts, the slurry is taken out from the bottom of the polymerizer, circulated by the slurry pump, introduced to the spiral heat exchanger, cooled by the heat exchanger, and circulated to the polymerizer. |
