<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the generation of a permanently folded part on a tape at rewinding, by rewinding the tape at a decelerated speed, if the tape led off at the retrial of automatic threading is not on a tape buffer loop. CONSTITUTION:If threading is not performed surely and a led-off magnetic tape is contained in a vacuum column 2, a tape sensor 10 detects it and a rewinding speed controlling section 12 rewinds the magnetic tape at a normal speed with the discrimination of a tape stage discriminating section 11. If the led-off magnetic tape is not contained in the vacuum column 2, no detection signal is given from the sensor 10, resulting in that the tape state discriminating section 11 discriminates the tape forming a loop in a send-off section 1. Then, the rewinding speed controlling section 12 is controlled to rewind the magnetic tape at decelerated speeds.</p> |
