PURPOSE:To provide a supplying device for sand free from leakage of sand and air by diposing a chute member which can be moved into and out from a blowing head in the lower part and providing a hopper provided with a stop valve in the upper part of the chute member. CONSTITUTION:A slide gate 8 is opened, and a hopper cylinder 16 is retracted to move a hopper 15 downward, thus inserting the tip part in the cylindrical part of a chute member 13 into a sand supplying port 5a. In succession, a rotary cylinder 21 is operated to open a rotary valve 18, through which the molding sand 23 in the hopper 15 is dropped and supplied into a blowing head 5; thereafter the valve 18 is closed and the cylinder 16 is moved upward to lift the hopper 15 up to the home position. Then the member 13 is forced upward by means of a spring 14, and the sand allowed to remain in the member 13 drops into the cavity in the head 5, thus filling said cavity. The gate 8 is closed and the head 5 is forced downward; at the same time, air is supplied to blow and supply the molding sand into a molding flask. |
