PURPOSE:To remove an eutectic fused liquid from base materials, to reduce upset pressure, and to prevent the base materials from deforming, by heating the two base materials brought into contact under applied contacting pressure, detecting variation in the size between the base mateials, and applying the upset pressure. CONSTITUTION:Base materials 1 and 2 are brought into contact under contacting pressure P1. Then, the base materials 1 and 2 are heated by powering up a heating coil 3. At this time, the base materials 1 and 2 expand according to a rise in heating temperature, and the size L between reference point increases. When the temperatures of the base materials 1 and 2 attain at the eutectic temperature and an eutectic liquid is produced, the eutectic liquid is discharged out of a junction surface and the size L between the reference points decreases abruptly from L1 to L2. At this time, that is detected by a measuring instrument and the heating is interrupted to apply upset pressure P2 immediately. |
