PURPOSE:To make effectively a reflected light passed through a carrier incident to a detector at the front of an analytical element, by arranging a light reflecting layer at the opposit side of an antibody immobilized layer. CONSTITUTION:Glass and various kinds of high-polymer membranes are used as a transparent carrier 2 for immobilization and Al is vapor-deposited at the one side of the carrier as a reflecting layer 3, then an antibody 7 is immobilized at the other side. When a high polymer is used as the carrier, the effectiveness of this invention is reduced by drop of transparency unless the treatment is performed properly. Accordingly, the preparation of the active layer 4 between the antibody 7 and carrier 2 is important. The analytical element of this invention is independent of the kind of luminescent substances, so the effectiveness of this invention is studied, by using luminol as the chemical luminescent substance and labeling human IgG antibody with it. A better result of S/N ratio is obtained in case of using of the analytical element of this invention 11, than the case having no reflection layer 12. |
