PURPOSE:To produce a magnetic head having high performance with high yield, by using the glass having a specific softening temperature in the manufacturing process of the magnetic head using the glass and then performing the glass bonding under the reduction of pressure. CONSTITUTION:The glass having a 535-610 deg.C softening temperature is used in the manufacturing process of a magnetic head which uses the glass of the adhesion of the members forming the magnetic head or for the filling at the worked part of these members. At the same time, the glass bonding is performed under the reduction of pressure. The adsorbed matters on the member surface of the magnetic head cause air bubbles into the glass, and these adsorbed matters are mainly the organic solvent stuck to the member of the magnetic head when it is washed, the water content contained in the air, etc. Thus the glass bonding is performed after removing completely these adsorbed matters in order to avoid the generation of air bubbles in the glass. The glass of a 535-610 deg.C softening temperature can perfectly prevent the generation of the air bubbles caused by the adsorbed matters. |
