PURPOSE:To enhance the cleaning effect, by making either of a rotary material or a magnetic roller of a cleaning device floatable and holding a recording material between the rotary material and the magnetic roller with the magnetic force of the rotary material. CONSTITUTION:A rotary material 1 as a cleaning member is a nonmagnetic sleeve where a short-hair brush consisting of nylon is provided on the surface, and plural magnets 2 are stored stationarily in this sleeve. A belt-shaped recording material 3 is stretched between belt driving rollers 4 and 5, and magnetic coloring particles scraped off by the brush on th surface of the sleeve 1 after transfer and discharging are held by magnets 2 and are transferred to a magnetic roller 7 and are scraped off by a scraper 8. The part of a supporting guide plate 6 which face to the sleeve 1 is a recess 6a, and a thin pipe-shaped magnetic material roller 10 is put in this recess 6a rotatably and vertically movably. The magnetic material roller 10 is attracted by the magnetic attraction of magnets in the sleeve 1 facing to this roller 10 to press the recording material 3 to the surface of the sleeve 1. |
