PURPOSE:To obviate the incorrect operation due to the difference of thickness of molds that have been replaced and mounted, by incorporating into a tire vulcanizing press a ram and a vertically movable stopper apparatus for mechanically regulating the return stroke of a piston. CONSTITUTION:A green tire (B) is placed on a lower mold 15, an upper mold 14 is lowered thereon, and a lock ring 3 is rotated to lock clicks 3b, 11b. When a solenoid 33 is energized, and a change-over valve 32 is changed over so that a pressure liquid is fed into a liquid chamber 26a of a casing 26 to pressurize it, a lower bolster 5 is raised by the ram 22 to clamp the upper and lower molds 14, 15 and heating and vulcanization are carried out. After the vulcanization, the solenoid 33 is deenergized to release the clamping of the upper and lower molds 14, 15, then the clicks 3a, 11b of the lock ring 3 are unlocked, and the upper mold 14 is raised to take out the vulcanized tire (B). |
