PURPOSE:To eliminate completely the overlap of transfer papers even in case of copy for the second face, by interrupting temporarily the feeding and carrying of transfer papers when the overlap is detected in case of copy for the second face through a relaying carrying path. CONSTITUTION:A transfer paper where the copy for the first face is completed is stored into a relaying tray 9 through a position (a) of a switching guide 8 so that the image is in the upper side. Sensors 20a and 20b for detecting the overlap are provided on a relaying carrying path 11, and the blank width of the side of the transfer paper is used to detect the overlap on a basis of the variance of the quantity of the transmitted light. In case of copy for the second face, when the overlap of transfer papers from the relaying tray 9 is detected on the carrying path 11, the paper feed from the tray 9 and the paper carrying on the carrying path 11 are stopped, and the display is performed to return overlapping papers to the tray 9. Thus, the overlap of transfer papers is eliminated completely even in case of recording for the second face. |
