[Also in Division C3] Packages comprise foodstuffs or medicine completely enveloped in a container moulded from a blend comprising (A) a graft polymer component having a rubber substrate formed of an interpolymer of (1) conjugated diene monomer, (2) monovinylidene aromatic monomer and (3) ethylenically unsaturated nitrile and a superstrate formed of an interpolymer of (1) methacrylonitrile, (2) monovinylidene aroma- tic monomer and (3) a polar vinylidene monomer and (B) a matrix component formed of an interpolymer of methacrylonitrile, monovinylidene aromatic monomer and, optionally, a polar vinylidene monomer. In examples, bottles are moulded from transparent blends. Packaging sheet materials may also be made from the blends.</p> |
