Film or composite film which is aligned on a molecular level, and process for the production thereof

The films aligned on a molecular level are based on a mixture of a polyamide with an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and optionally a plasticiser; the composite films contain a layer of such a mixture. These films are highly suitable, due to their balanced properties with respect to oxygen impermeability and mechanical strength, for a wide range of applications, for example for packaging foodstuffs.
