PURPOSE:To fix a reader, a reading stage, a lens system and a detection stage, by scanning a reflecting mirror in an optical reader interlocking with a parallel scanning means and a rotating scanning means. CONSTITUTION:In scanning a medium 1 located on an original stand 11, the scanning initial position of a scanning reflection mirror 4 is positioned with a motor element 5 at the rotating side and a motor 8 at the parallel scanning for a tilt angle theta0 and a parallel scanning start position y'0, and a scanning start position y0 on a medium 1 is formed on a detection element 3 as an input coincident with an optical axis of the (y) direction of an image forming lens system 2. The main scanning toward the (x) axis is made and the main scanning is again performed by advancing the subscanning by DELTAy on the surface of the medium 1. In performing the subscanning by DELTAy, the rotating scanning reflection mirror 4 is advanced by DELTAy' with the motor 8 and by DELTAtheta with the motor 5 and the optical length L1 at the medium side is kept and detection is made with a detection element 3 via the fixed lens system 2. |
