Balance

The invention relates to a flat balance, in which the weight is applied via a movable plate to a pressure cell filled with gas or liquid. The internal pressure of the pressure cell is to correspond to the applied weight. Previous constructions of balances with a pressure cell had only restricted measuring accuracy, because the influence of the edge of the pressure cell on the measurement was not taken into account. The invention shows how the edge of the pressure cell is to be designed so as to obtain a balance with a minimum measuring error. The invention can be used for all balances having a pressure cell.
