The invention relates to a rotating boring head for full-face, tunnelling or heading machines which according to the invention is of hollow design at least in the area of the boring tools (3), the hollow space or hollow spaces (8) being accessible. The roller bits (7) are fastened to the inside of these hollow spaces, the rollers extending through the boring head (5) in the direction of the face (3) and being removable to the inside. The entry (11) to the hollow space or hollow spaces (8) is effected in the area of the boring-head periphery (10) from the rear side of the boring head (5), the entire area being protected by a protective shield (12) against rock fragments breaking loose from the roof (2). <IMAGE>
