PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of folding work, in a device whereby a plastic film and the like are zigzag folded in a prescribed length, by providing an end holding mechanism to the lower of thin plates, holding a folded end part of the film and the like with said end holding mechanism and preventing the disorder of said end part. CONSTITUTION:A pair of thin plates 45, to which folded end parts of a belt- state member 33 of a plastic film and the like are wound, are provided to the point end of rocking arms 46, and said arms 46 are moved rocking to longitudinally move the thin plates 45, while the belt-state member 33 is alternately wound by a shuttling feed mechanism 44 to the thin plate 45 situated in a winding position with said arms 46. Then the thin plate 45, wound with the belt-state member 33, is extracted, and the folded end part of the belt-state member 33 is held by retainers 54 of an end holding mechanism, provided to the lower side of the thin plte 45, to prevent disorder in the end part, in this way, the belt-state member 33 is surely folded zigzag by the alternately and longitudinally moving thin plates 45. |
