PURPOSE:To obtain an image of high quality by such an arrangement wherein at least one of the means for forming liquid droplets by a fixed frequency or another means for preventing the formation of such liquid droplets is composed of an electrostriction vibrator and a fluid diode and liquid droplets thus formed are used for recording. CONSTITUTION:In a non-impact recorder, ink is supplied from an ink supply hole and an electrostriction vibrator 22 for forming liquid droplets is vibrating at a certain frequency. It is arranged so that the formation of liquid droplets and (or) prevention of formation of liquid droplets can be efficiently performed by preventing the inverse flow of ink by providing fluid diodes 21 and (or) 28 in an ink passage. As fluid diodes 21 and 28, for example, pure fluid diodes 21 and 28 called as cups type are used. The cups type pure fluid diode is such that a wall 31 in the form of substantially heat-shape is formed in a passage of substantially spade type and it shows excellent diode effect for an ink jet head. |
