The invention relates to a foil badge for reflecting registration plates, especially a stamp or test badge for reflecting motor-vehicle registration plates, and to the corresponding plate provided with a badge. There is the possibility of detaching the reflex layer or parts thereof, together with a glued-on badge, from the registration plate and use the badge fraudulently elsewhere. If the reflex layer of the plate is provided with watermark-like features, and if the badge consists of a transparent foil material, the watermark system of the plate can be seen through the badge. A badge possibly detached, together with part of the reflex layer, from a plate cannot then be fitted exactly into the watermark system of another plate, so that the attempt at falsification can be detected on this other plate.
