The quartz resonator, for a wristwatch, has the angle of cut(o) resulting from an anticlockwise rotation about the X-axis,whereby the XZ' plane of the crystal plate is very thin The overall length(), the overall width(w) and the overall thickness(t) lie resp. along the X, Z' and Y' axes. The ratio of width to thickness(w/t) lies between 2.0 and 2.8. The angle of cut lies between 33↿20' and 36↿21'. The cct. has a high Q and a low equivalent series impedance and the turning point of its frequency/temp. curve lies at approx. 20≦̸C for all practical purposes.
