PURPOSE:To use an electronic cash register in both a high price commodity sales counter and a low price commodity sales counter, by constituting it so that whether only a total amount or that which includes items is printed on a journal receipt can be selected, when processing a sale on credit by a card. CONSTITUTION:A mode changeover switch 11 of a keyboard 1 is switched to setting, and a setting key 141 is depressed after depressing ''0'' of a registering key 12 and ''1'' of the registering key 12, when collecting both a data of each commodity and a transaction total amount data, and when collecting only the transaction total amount, respectively. Subsequently, the mode changeover switch is switched to registration, a department is inputted by an each department key 13, a unit price and a quantity are inputted by the registering key 12, a card sale key 142 is pushed, and a magnetic card is inserted into a card reader which is not shown in the figure, in order to make it read a customer's number. In this way, whether only a total amount of purchased commodities or that which includes items is print-outputted and stored can be selected freely, and even when a high price commodity sales counter and a low price commodity sales counter are remodeled, replacement of registers is not required. |
