PURPOSE:To carry out the continuous drying of raw laver, etc. at a relatively low temperature, in high efficiency, by passing thin sheets of raw laver arranged orderly on a laver screen placed on a conveyor belt through narrow openings opened at the central part of each partition wall separating the drying chambers from each other. CONSTITUTION:The drying air is passed through a plurality of drying chambers 1 placed side by side in parallel, at a definite flow rate alternately changing the flow direction. The thin raw laver sheets arranged orderly on a laver screen placed on a conveyor belt 5 composed of a plurality of steel wires crossing the air flow perpendicularly, are introduced continuously into the drying chambers 1 and passed through the narrow and elongated openings 10 at the central part of each partition wall separating the drying chambers 1 from each other. The dried laver sheets are further dried with the far-infrared radiator 15 and the infrared radiator 16, and sprayed with a food additive such as seasonings by the spraying device 17 to obtain the final product. The exhaust air from the last drying chamber 1 is cooled by the cooler 12 to separate the moisture, sent to the heat exchanger 13, heated with the heater 14 and returned to the drying chamber 1 wit the fan 11. |
