CONVERSION AND STORAGE SYSTEM FOR FACSIMILE SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a specific operation at a facsimile device, by counting the number of subscanning lines of a picture signal and processing an original exceeding a prescribed line number as a series of a plurality of originals. CONSTITUTION:A storage control section 10 detects a facsimile communication call from a facsimile device to perform a call set procedure and starts one of facsimile control sections 901-90n. The facsimile control sections 901-90n manage the length of screen of an original by counting the number of subscanning lines of the picture signal at the reception of the picture signal, and when the length exceeds a prescribed length, a screen section code is inserted and the result is stored as a separated picture signal. When the end of the picture signal is dtected, a message post-processing is executed and the end of operation is informed to the section 10. The storage control section 10 executes the call restoration procedure through an exchange interface section 8.
