A ventilation apparatus for artificial respiration comprises a high frequency oscillation ventilator 4 and an intermittent positive pressure ventilator 3, each of these ventilators being composed of a pneumatic circuit Figs. 2 to 5, not shown. The high frequency oscillation ventilator and the intermittent positive pressure ventilator are connected to a respiratory gas source 1 for feeding the respiratory gas to a patient circuit 2. A shut-off valve means 45, 46 is provided for selectively communicating the gas source with the two ventilators whereby these ventilators are operated either alone or in combination. <IMAGE> |
