The traction apparatus is provided as a small independent vehicle. It comprises its own driving mechanism and a detachable coupling comprised of a rigid pipe or a rod, about a vertical axle, for its connection to the wheel-chair (1), at the vicinity of the front wheel (2). The traction apparatus (7) further comprises a steering gear (10, 11) accessible to the wheel-chair user, and at least two rear wheels (6) of which at least one is a drive wheel. At the front, the traction apparatus has a bearing pad or at least one wheel (5). When it is uncoupled, the apparatus rests on the two rear wheels (6) and on the bearing pad or on one or two front wheels (5). |
