A fountain pipe (1) is assembled from pipe sections (2) which consist of a foamed plastic with reinforcing inserts (6) extending in the pipe longitudinal direction. The ends (5), projecting at the end faces (3), of the reinforcing inserts (6) project into a joint (4) which is formed between the end faces (3) of the pipe sections (2) and is filled by casting with a plastic (11). To produce the bond, an expandable rubber bubble (8) is introduced into the pipe interior and an external formwork (9) is mounted on the outside of the pipe; then the joint (4) is filled by casting. The specific weight of the polyurethane, polyurea or polyisocyanurate, or a mixture of these substances, which is used as foamed plastic and is produced from polyisocyanates and/or polyols and foam auxiliaries, is such that the fountain pipe (1) approximately floats in water. <IMAGE> |
