PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly of air boxes and simplify processes of their manufacture by making the intake cover for the air box of a car of plastics and forming flange and fitting part in a single piece around a concave guide part provided with a notch. CONSTITUTION:Each intake cover 2 is equipped with a concave guide part 4 in its middle, which is provided with a notch 4a. A flange 5 is arranged around this guide part 4, and a fitting part 7 is formed in a single piece with this flange 5 with a hinge 6 interposed. As hinge 6 is used a U-shaped corrugation hinge while a clip-shaped projection is used for said fitting part 7, so the rising part 3 of the mating member is provided with an opening correspondingly. In this arrangement, the air including rainwaters introduced from the cowl grille 8a is led through the notch 4a in intake cover 2 for getting rid of its water content, whereafter the rainwater is send onto the dash upper panel 10 to be drained from an exhaust hole while the air is solely sent to the air intake 11. |
