PURPOSE:To improve the low temperature characteristics, the thermal resistance, and the flexibility for wiring and laying, by impregnating a tape-shaped woven material with a thermosetting resin to make this resin semihardened. CONSTITUTION:Optical fiber strands 1 and reinforcing glass fibers 5 are used as warps and glass fibers 2 are used as wafts to constitute a tape-shaped woven material 3, and this material is impregnated with a thermosetting resin 4 and is semihardened. Consequently, a sufficient flexibility is obtained by the semihardened state of the resin 4, and the resin 4 is hardened completely after to improve the thermal resistance, and the contraction of the resin 4 at a low temperature is suppressed by the action of fibers 5 to prevent the degradation of the transmission loss of fiber strands 1. |
