PURPOSE:To enable standard liquid to be dispensed and diluted without being polluted by the air, by a method wherein a vessel for liquid to be diluted and vessel for diluting liquid are coupled to a rotary sampler through a constant- flow pump, and are joined to an analyzer through a mixing vessel. CONSTITUTION:After liquid 34 to be diluted is set to a vessel 1 for liquid to be diluted and diluting liquid 35 to a vessel 8 for diluting liquid, the diluting liquid is introduced to a vessel 15. Operations to make a half turn of the rotor 33 of a rotary sampler 7 and restor it back to the original are repeatedly performed to flow a specified amount of the liquid to be diluted to a mixing vessel 15 through the working of a constant-flow pump 11. With an ultrasonic oscillator 19 oscillated, the two liquids in the mixing vessel are sufficiently mixed to prepare a desired reference liquid of a desired concentration, and with a valve 23 switched to a pump 24 side, the standard liquid is fed to an analyzing device 25. As noted above, the liquid is handled in an enclosure system, and this permits the reference liquid for analysis of a very trace amount, which is badly influenced by air pollution, to be reliably adjusted with a better reproducibility. |
