PURPOSE:To perform a reliable measurement of the degree of refinery of rice grains which flow in sequence, by a method wherein a light source is mounted to a flow path of rice grains to measure reflected light and transmitted light from a sample. CONSTITUTION:A sample flow path 11 is installed to a left side of an integration ball 10 whose surface serves as a mirror, and a collecting lens 14 to the right side. By the passage of rice grains through the flow path 11, the grains are irradiated with light from a light source lamp 7 through a heat ray absorbing filter 15, a monochromatic filter 9, and the collecting lens 14, and reflected light is collected by a collecting element 13 and transmitted light by a collecting element 13'. The collecting elements 13 and 13' are connected to amplifiers 5 and 5', respectively, the measurements are displayed by digital display meters 3 and 2, and the degree of refinery is found through computation of (reflecting amount) + KX(transmission amount) by a computing element 4 to display the results in a digital display meter 1. |
